I found my next short term goal! Here it is:

Kevin and I both want road bikes for next spring, and this is the perfect match for us! It's affordable, socially responsible, and good for the environment! Plus, it'll be a super fun thing to do together!
So, we have a date for next Tuesday night to go find our new bikes!! I'm really excited to learn how to fix/repair/build a bike!
That sounds like it will be right up your alley!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have something like that. Belinda would hate it because I would live there. ;- )
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how rare these programs are! I'm shocked that there doesn't seem to be anything like it in Ft. Worth or Crowley.
ReplyDeleteI know NOTHING about bike maintenance, so I'm pretty psyched to do this!
I'm lucky in that, well, hey, I *am* a mechanical engineer, but also, my LBS (local bike shop) is very helpful. The mechanic, Mike, has been very helpful in educating me about bikes. I'm not special; part of the shop's "mission" is to encourage people to commute on bicycles, and education is a big part of that.
ReplyDeleteI guess the bottom line is that there are lots of ways to feed a passion for bicycling.
