I've been going down to Long Island/NYC two days a week for work recently. One of my responsibilities while I'm there, is to complete home visits with several survivors in the program. These guys live throughout the city and LI. Last week when I was there, I got lost more times than I care to admit.
It was a disaster. I got lost, atleast once, on my way to each home. I got lost on my way home last Friday night... and took a detour through scenic NJ. A trip that should take me 3 hours, took me over 5. I cried. And I swore. And I got more lost. And I cried more. And I fantasized that the five hours in the car was actually taking me to CapeCod.
This week I made the trip with my new best friend...
Yep. Borrowed from a friend who graciously offered it to me: Grace the Garmin!
I didn't get lost once!! And she figured out a way to get me home without going over the George Washington Bridge.
Now that's a true friend!!

Man, a 2 hour "detour"? That sucks! Glad you now have a new companion!
Handy!
Yes I was wishing for a GPS last night when I got lost in Autins and I arrived at my hotel over 1 and a half late.
Note to self: Buy the wife a Garmin...
